We are Righteous

2 Corinthians 5:21 CSB He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. After salvation we have not just been forgiven and given a ticket to heaven but also we have been made righteous. Our righteousness has been by faith and not that of work.  2 Corinthians 4:5 CSB For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus's sake. Our life is a ministry use by God to express Christ to the world in a unique way. We are not called to boast about our achievements, successes and new capabilities. God knows everything that we have been blessed with because He gave those to us. Today at this side of the cross we have been called to be an ambassador not of our brand of Christianity but an ambassador of Christ. John 20:21 CSB Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you." As ambassadors we are sent to the world at this side of ...

God Was Serious About Our Righteousness

Romans 6:17-18 NASB95 But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, [18] and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. Sin is serious and it will always be.Walking in its power has earthly consequences. Walking like a sinner is an absolute stupidity but praise be to God because He was also serious when He said that we are dead to sin and alive in Him. God never lies. He never lied when He said that we are slaves to righteousness. Rejoice and be glad because Jesus made you righteous. Therefore at the core you hate sin.

Do We Have Two Natures?

Ephesians 4:22-24 NLT throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. [23] Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. [24] Put on your new nature, created to be like God-truly righteous and holy. The good dog and bad dog theory still exist among many Christians. They believe there is a civil war inside of them.It is a civil war between the good self and the bad self or the old nature(identity) and the new nature(identity). They believe that what they feed the most determines their true identity. This idea seems to be a big obstacle and contradiction to the biblical idea of our true identity. What then is our true identity then according to the bible? John 3:3 NLT Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God." Our true identity is that we are born-again believers who had been crucified with Christ. We too had been buried together with Him.That old self ha...

New Commandment of Love and Believe.

1 John 2:7 NASB95 Beloved, I am not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard. Some people think that because we live under grace and no longer believe in the necessity of the 613 laws of Moses in our life. They assume that we will live an immoral life because we seem not to have rules to keep. Paul in Romans 6:2 enthusiastically debunk the assumption by saying: Romans 6:1-2 NASB95 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? [2] May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Paul said we died to sin that is why we are living in Grace with a brand new spirit and an obedient heart. What does the new and obedient heart obey? It obeys the new commandment of Jesus to love and believe. What then is the difference from that of the old law? Well, to begin with it is no longer a law it has been imprinted in your heart as part of the new yo...

Checklist Christians? No More!

Genesis 2:9 NKJV And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:17 NKJV but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." Are you a believer who wakes up or sleeps obsess with a checklist of things to do and not to do? This surely can be a brilliant idea if the list is not about steps towards becoming a better Christian. The flesh(the old system of doing things independent of Christ.) intends to journey us deeper to the old dead, buried rotten stinkin thinkin self who wants to be like God.It was Adam who introduce us to the checklist of knowing what is good from evil by bringing all of us to the wrong tree. In Adam we all of the sudden felt like God deciding on our own what is good and what is bad. When we perceive things as evil we acted...

The Flesh

Romans 8:5 CSB For those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their minds set on the things of the Spirit. We either live in the flesh independent of Christ or live in the Spirit dependent on the Lord. We don't live between the 2 contrasting spaces in the spiritual  realm. The flesh is not part of the Christian nature. This is like the old operating system before we entered salvation.Today in this new space we have in Christ we have been made completely new in terms of our identity(new heart, new spirit, new desires, totally forgiven, holy, accepted, safe and satisfied, one with Christ, free and many more)yet our soul(thinking, emotions, attitudes, behaviour, mind set and many more) still gets information from many sources. The Spirit is our primary source yet, the flesh the so called operating system of our life before salvation is still one of its sources as well. As we bear fruit in the Spirit(that i...

FULLY SANCTIFIED!

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NLT Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, [10] or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people-none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. [11] Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. Some of you might be tempted to read someone else's email and believe right away that the letter was for you. Verses 9 and 10 describe an  unbelievers identity. It describes who they are.The email belongs to them not ours. Before salvation that was our identity as well. We were like our father the devil. But today we are fully sanctified(holy).Yes our Behaviour is not sanctified(holy)yet. However it is heaven re...
